Hi, I’m Brian. I founded Ridd.io with one goal in mind: Simplify the decluttering process into a free app that anyone can use. My journey began by helping local community members get rid of their unwanted junk. My little junk removal business taught me just how much clutter is accumulating unseen in the garages, attics, and basements of my clients. In the age of consumerism, everyone has a few extra things they need to get rid of, and I needed to find a way to get rid of it. After having no luck finding any such information all in one spot, I decided simplify it by compiling my own list of resources including local recyclers, transfer stations, composters, donation centers, and more. My clients were thrilled that I was able to get rid of their items at an affordable price, all-the-while reassured that their items were being disposed of responsibly. Often-times, landfills were avoided altogether in lieu of donation and recycling centers.
The Problem
In a world filled with choices, many individuals feel overwhelmed by the question of how to part with their unwanted clutter in a way that is both affordable and environmentally responsible. This gap in knowledge sparked the desire to create a resource where the community could come together and share valuable information about eco-friendly disposal options, donations, and recycling programs. Every item has a story, and with the right guidance, we can help each item find its next chapter while supporting local initiatives and diverting waste from landfills.
Our Mission
This innovative mobile app seamlessly connects users with local charities, recycling centers, and community organizations, transforming the often-daunting task of item disposal into a streamlined and gratifying experience. The Ridd.io app is the ultimate resource for learning about the best free and affordable options for getting rid of just about anything throughout the US. With Ridd.io, decluttering becomes a meaningful way to give back to the community and divert waste from landfills.
